1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria 2-dr post hardtop
Description:
1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria 2-door, Ford's most pretigious offering of that year. The flamboyant chrome, Sunliner style interior made for one of the most spectacular cars of 1955-56. The 1956 model was considered rarer and more desirable with a number of added features including 12volt electrical. This car has had a frame on restoration by a previous owner. The engine is the 200 h.p. version of the 292 cu. Thunderbird Y-block V8 with a three-speed manual transmission and optional overdrive. The transmission has been recently rebuilt and has a new clutch and pressure plate. The orignal "teapot" carbureator has been rebuilt. And uses the orignal oil bath air cleaner. The vacuum wipers were rebuilt last year. The factory AM radio has been converted to work as AM/FM retaining the original face and case. New wide white wall tires, and the dual exhuasts exit via the rear bumper as is correct. The car is fitted with continental kit, fender skirts and rocker panel moldings. All gages work. This is an exceptional find and won't last long in this great Fiesta red and Colonial white finish. Odometer indicates about 18,000 miles since resent at the beginning of the restoration. This car is a wonderful value and priced for quick sale. Includes owners and shop manuals plus lots of restoration documentation. Please scroll down for a full set of photos. We offer financing, shipping, and trades are considered.
