This is one of approximately 1200 special one model year only, aerocoupes built for Pontiac's homologation entry in NASCAR racing. Monte Carlo built a similar Aerocoupe for '86 and '87 but Pontiac is just a one year model. Hemmings Muscle car magazine called it the "Superbird of the '80's."
