1953 Packard Caribbean convertible, model 2631. This rare car is fresh out of the estate where the owner had purchased this car in 1955. It had a later restoration and was refinished in metallic medium Green approximately 40 years ago and still looks nice. It is complimented with a white and green interior in excellent condition. The convertible top is the car's original white top and still operates up and down. The convertible top is in fair condition but tight and whole. In addition, the car has been fitted with a finely crafted,spectacular one of a kind, all metal, removable hardtop that fits perfect. This top can be run as a full hardtop, or with the front chauffeurs compartment open or removed for the use of the regular convertible. This feature must be seen. The cost of making the top was nearly $4000 around 1960, we have receipt. Low original miles (44,620) as it was obtained from the 3rd owner who purchased the car in 1955 when it was only 2 years old. The car powered by a powerful 327 ci./ 180 hp., 4-bbl. flathead 8 cylinder engine with automatic transmission. The car carries the original chrome wire wheels and factory continental kit. 122" wheelbase. Watch for more photos and information. This is a very special find with rich provenance.
